End of Life Arrangements

Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved pet

Our pets are members of our families and being faced with end of life and aftercare decisions can be upsetting and overwhelming. During this difficult time, we would like to help make the next steps easier for you.

WVRC works with Hinsdale for private or group cremations. You and your pet deserve to be treated with the utmost respect at this time. We are available to answer any and all questions that you may have regarding this painful process.

Knowing how difficult it can be to say goodbye to our pets, our Veterinary Social Worker, Neil Staplin, is available to meet with individuals or families to help you through this difficult time. You can schedule a meeting with Neil by contacting us.

WVRC also partners with Red Oak Counseling to offer pet loss support groups for anyone who prefers a group setting. All are welcome at this free group, but please call (262) 780-1020 in advance to let them know you will be coming.

We also recommend utilizing Horizon Home Care’s Grief Resource Center in Milwaukee, WI for additional grief counseling services. Horizon has many robust options for pet loss and grief, including individual, family, and group counseling sessions, as well as a public grief resource library. All of the services offered through Horizon are free. More information is available on their website.

We hope that you find some comfort in the memories of your pet and that those memories will one day replace your sorrow.

Please call us if you have any questions after you leave our hospital:
