Dr. Burkart recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin- School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Dr. Burkart gained a passion for emergency medicine while working as a veterinary assistant at an emergency clinic in Madison. She loves being there for her clients and patients when they need it most and guiding them as they make important medical decisions. She also loves surgery and is eager to expand her surgical skills while working at WVRC-Waukesha.

In her free time, Dr. Burkart loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her kitty Ivan. She also loves water ski, downhill ski, snorkel, and deep sea fish with her family in Florida. One time she even saw a 400lb Goliath Grouper under the boat while snorkeling in the Florida Keys!
