About

Heather is a Wisconsin native. She spent time, after college, traveling and working in several states before coming back to Wisconsin. Her entire career has been animal related. After graduating from UW-Stevens Point, with a BS in Biology, Heather worked at a Wildlife Rehabilitation and Sanctuary where she took care of both native and exotic wildlife species. She started her veterinary career in small animal medicine and then transitioned to Emergency/Critical Care and Referral small animal medicine in 2008. Heather has been a vet tech Instructor as well as an independent veterinary training contractor. She thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge with future generations.

She currently has 1 dog named Elliot who was a rescue from Alabama. He has buckshot all over his body and was heartworm positive when Heather adopted him a few years ago. Now, he lives the high life by spending ample time on the bed and couch.
