About
Dr. Ritzman completed her undergraduate with a major in Animal Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
During undergraduate she began working in both a surgical science lab focusing on wound healing and a histopathology lab that worked with many researchers and universities across the US. After undergraduate she continued to be involved in research while beginning to work in the Emergency & Critical Care department at the UW Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, where she continued to work part-time during completion of her veterinary medical degree at the UW.
Dr. Ritzman completed multiple emergency focused externships during her clinical year and gained valuable surgical experience with the ASPCA Humane Alliance program.

Dr. Ritzman’s interests include emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, rehabilitation, and ophthalmology.
She also has a cat, named Yeli, that she adopted while in veterinary school.
