About

Dr. Caila Kuehn (pronounced like ‘Kayla Keen’) is a Waukesha area native and happy to have returned to the area to serve local pets and their owners. She grew up enjoying outdoor activities and wilderness travel. After graduation from undergraduate school, she pursued a career in recreational and adventure therapy, working with children with severe OCD and other psychiatric disorders. She found her love of veterinary medicine after several years on this path and returned to school to complete prerequisite courses. After veterinary school, she relocated to San Diego for internship and then emergency medicine practice.

Dr. Kuehn’s passion is emergency medicine. She is particularly passionate about helping owners navigate difficult medical decisions and supporting them through end of life care for their pets.

Outside of work she loves to cook (and eat), travel, sail, and hike accompanied by her two busy-body pups and husband.
