About

Dr. Afflerbach graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine with her Docter of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) in 2019. She completed a 1-year Emergency Medicine internship at WVRC and continues to work in the Emergency department. Prior to vet school, Dr. Afflerbach studied Biology and Biomathematics at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. During this time, she first became interested in emergency medicine while working as an assistant overnight at a local emergency clinic. Outside of work, her interests include running, snuggling her orange cats, and trying to garden on her balcony.
