Kayla Doucette

Dr. Doucette was born and raised in Milwaukee County. She graduated from the University of Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her DVM degree from University College Dublin in Ireland, where she lived for four years. 

During her time abroad, she enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, immersing herself in Irish culture, and working on local farms during lambing and calving season—experiences that strengthened her passion for hands-on animal care. While in veterinary school, Dr Doucette developed a passion for emergency medicine after completing multiple externships in surrounding emergency hospitals, including WVRC. 

During her free time, Dr. Doucette enjoys spending time with her husband, and their adorable baby boy. They also share their home with Daphne, a goofy pit bull with the perfect underbite, and Charming—a very sassy (and somewhat ironically named) cat.
