Dr. Brian Hansford is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he earned a degree in Biomedical Science with minors in Spanish and Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2026.

Dr. Hansford has a strong interest in emergency and critical care and values the fast-paced, collaborative environment it provides. He is passionate about combining evidence-based medicine with compassionate, client-centered care, and enjoys working alongside veterinary teams to deliver thoughtful and effective treatment plans. During veterinary school, he was actively involved in research focused on canine cancer biomarkers, contributing to projects in pharmacology and oncology and presenting his work at a national conference. These experiences strengthened his appreciation for the role of research in advancing clinical decision-making.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hansford enjoys staying active through running and strength training, as well as spending time with family and friends. He has a background as a collegiate track and cross-country athlete and continues to value the discipline and teamwork those experiences instilled in him.
